A true Carolina Girl, this Black and Korean southern native was born in Columbia, SC and spent her formative years on the beaches of Myrtle Beach, SC. The oldest daughter to a single father, Carrie has 3 sisters and one brother. Carrie suffered from a severe stuttering speech impediment causing her to become very shy. That's when her father decided pageantry was a way for her to break out her shell. She went on to overcome her stage fright and win the title of Miss Junior South Carolina 2005 and placed 2nd runner up in the Miss Junior America Pageant. Growing up Carrie and her sister were training to be the next Venus and Serena. While attending The University of Georgia, Carrie injured her shoulder preventing her from pursuing a professional tennis career. It was then that she discovered her passion for acting. Always afraid to pursue acting because of the severe stutter Carrie took her first acting class in Atlanta, GA, and she hasn't looked back since. Hide
