Gioya Tuma-Waku is an actress and producer born in Kinshasa, DRC then moved to South Africa at the age two and was raised there. In 2015 she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and then was one of the 21 students invited back to perform as part of The Academy Company. She is known for Bloggers Short Film (2016) and Shine Bright (2016).Gioya's stage credits include playing "Angelique" in "Angelique", "Mary" in "Detroit", "Gert" in "California Suite" and "Lady in Red" in "For Colored Girls" which was directed by Saundra McClain who played "Lady in Red" in the Original Broadway Production.
