Ingar Steen was born in the county of Troms , where he comes from a family of musicians and entertainers, and his father (Jan Erik Steen) was a known and respected jazz musician in the town of Narvik.Steen played in several music groups in his youth and gained some moderate recognition in the North of Norway with the heavy metal band Riöt Act from 2011-2014.Ingar Steen was also a politician, being the 6th candidate for the Norwegian Labour Party in the City Council of Bodø, Nordland from 2011-2015.In 2016 he moved to Oslo to focus on his acting career and gained many small roles or extra roles in several movie, TV and commercial productions from 2016-2020.His first acting role in a movie was as "Metal-Henning" in "Ninjababy", released in 2021.He is also known as "The Elf-Pirate" which is the name of his Cosplay character, comedy rock alter ego and his social media presence.
