Leona Clarke is a British actress. She was born in Holland where she lived for two years before moving to England, where she grew up in the Oxfordshire countryside. From a very young age she showed a passion in the dramatic arts; taking part in many school plays and eventually playing the lead role as Anne in a Theatre Production called Anne of Green Gables at the age of 11. After performing in ten consecutive shows, she joined a local drama school called Stagecoach where she trained every weekend in singing, acting and dancing. Here she took part in many more theatre productions and plays.After taking a short break to focus on her GCSEs and A-levels, Leona signed up to an online acting agency where she was offered a role as an extra on a music video called 'Tokyo' for the band Vienna in Love. When she turned up to Elstree Studios for her first ever job within the Film & Television industry, she was offered a lead role on the spot. 'Tokyo' was screened at the BFI Cinema in London and went on to rank highly within the MTV Adria Charts and placed second for Best Music Video at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival. This encouraged her to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in acting, landing her more lead roles within many independent productions.During the summer of 2017, Leona played a lead role as Sheila Birling in a remake of J.B. Priestley's book 'An Inspector Calls'. The feature was filmed during the month of June in a beautiful country estate in Bicester and was later screened at the Odeon Cinema in Oxford.She will be starring in a brand new British superhero Sci-Fi alongside Dougie Poynter, Brian Bovell and Ace Bhatti later on in the year 2018.Leona has continued securing more lead roles in independent productions, and her most recent accomplishment is an international television commercial for a world renowned Healthcare product.
