Michael Richey was born in Southern Louisiana. His family moved to Texas and then Mississiip, where he completed high school.Until very recently, Michael Richey held the position of Full Professor at Florida State University's School of Theatre where he regularly directed, acted and taught acting and playwriting. His former students work in all areas of the entertainment industry on both coasts. He is married to Wanda Bullard; he and Wanda have three children and two grandchildren, Hide
