Sophina DeJesus has been a "social media influencer" for her amazing gymnastics competition videos. So much so, that Ellen asked Sophina to appear on her daytime talk show, where she also performed her signature gymnastics floor routine, for her Bruin team mates in the audience. This routine got viral momentum with signature "nay nay" and other hip hop dance moves. Sophina has become a young role model to many aspiring athletes and performers. She will be touring as public speaker and offer workshops nationally. In addition, now signed to More Zap Productions & Management, her branding is expanding. Sophina is acting in an internet series (webisodes) and TV shows, and was featured in the popular Youtube Rewind campaign this year, kicking and flipping. Theatre roles include working with Debbie Allen and performing around the world with the International Champion Hip Hop crew, Mix 5. Of mixed ethnicity, Sophina speaks Spanish and English. Indie films include Black Rabbit and when she was a kid, she was a series regular in Hip Hop Harry for TLC/ Discovery Kids and on the Disney DVD Princess Party Jams, choreographed by Michelle Zeitlin, now her talent manager and advisor. Sophina will be co-hosting the Boys & Girls Club Superstars of the Year in March of 2017 along with a stellar group of Hollywood talents. Hide
