Virginia is attacked in her car by a killer whose face cannot be seen. Unable to flee, she struggles and then plays dead to catch the killer off-guard, before running to get help. She has also frequent blackouts but she is slowly recovering her memory. When one by one of her friends are murdered and disappears, Virginia starts to believe that she is the killer...

A cult favourite to many due its black sense of humour and nonsensical ending, Happy Birthday to Me will be a bewilderment to others for exactly the same reasons.
