Ultimately there are enough good jokes to make the feature a worthwhile endeavour.

The script is patchy and the story too silly for its own good but there are enough laughs to make this a hit with the target audience.

The comedy is broad and the hijinks mostly puerile, with far too many episodes involving threats to and exposure of Alfie's testicles. Other gags, however, are set up with impressive care.
