This story provides more real events that recount the actions of civil rights activist Anne Atwater. Ann was trying to meet C.P. Ellis, the leader of the local Ku Klux Klan during the summer of 1971, which was rife with racism. At that time, Atwater and Ellis met together to co-chair a community summit for the abolition of apartheid in schools.
