The Bromley Boys
This satire film pursues a youthful 15-year-old kid called David Roberts. David cherishes the nearby team of his town, Bromley FC, to such an extent. While the majority of the English individuals bolster their national team for keeping the World Cup title, David still looks for behind his most loved team yet this thing may influences gravely on his association with his sweetheart.

It's very light and all a bit TV, with a seemingly interminable second act. Yet the characters are so affectionately drawn and so sweetly played that you forgive the conspicuous lapses.

If you do feel you need a football fix in what for some of us is a brief, blessed respite before the World Cup, I recommend it for its warmth and knockabout energy - and a great soundtrack.

Steve Kelly's film is burdened with weak comic shenanigans and an overly sentimental twist, but when it switches to quiet pathos in its hero's moments of dejection, it's quite sweet.
