The Intent 2: The Come Up
Description
The story tells of more action and adventure, as Jay seems to have failed because of his loyalty to both his crew and crime chief Hackney Beverley. The command changes shortly after Jay puts the foundations of his organized crime ring, and perhaps it is quite different. Suddenly, Beverly discovers Jay's lack of loyalty to the gang, a bad robbery in North London and a trip to Jamaica, all of which could completely change things. It may even get worse when their actions are monitored by the secret police officer, Matt Jones.

They needn't have bothered. While some of the acting is decent, especially from Ashley Chin...the writing is unfocused and it's hamfistedly edited and loaded with Caribbean clichés.

It doesn't shy away from the ugliness that surrounds the two countries it's set in, and places it under a microscope. When it comes to authentic storytelling, the intent is certainly there. And it shows.
