The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
The animated fantasy follows a grief stricken King in the Kingdom of Atlantica where music is a taboo, but as fate will have it, his youngest daughter is music freak and will go on an adventure to restore music back to the kingdom.

Should Disney continue with other straight-to-DVD sequels or prequels like this one, "Bambi II"....needs to be required viewing. A close relationship between characters, as with Bambi and his father, works. An insufferable Flounder does not.
