The Meg
The movie takes after a specialist diver called, Jonas Taylor. Jonas has gone through numerous hazardous circumstances in the ocean, the most horrendous one is the assault of a 70-foot shark. Five years after that assault, Jonas needs to confront his feelings of dread again when he see a gathering of individuals trapped in a soaked submarine.

Maybe director John Turteltaub thought the barrage of pathos and yuks would distract from the fact that his star is a very big fish that is not very bright. Still: cool shark, bro.

The film is restrained; it's not as gory as you'd expect. In a way, it's a throwback to the type of creature features produced during the 1950s, when giant bugs and thawed-out dinosaurs threatened mankind almost every Saturday afternoon.
