The series presents its new dramatic events in a new and exciting way through many different romantic events. The series opens its events through a wide range of romantic and dramatic performances, where in Paris, Thénardier Valjean confessed and enticed him into a trap to take revenge on him. But Tennarder's neighbor, a young law student named Marius Pontemercy, fell in love with Kozit and warned the police. On the other hand, Marius' friends want to start a new revolution and have put Jafer on their path, as this makes him dangerously close to Valgain again, who has decided to leave England with Kozit.

Davies's script has so far hit the main marks and tripped lightly through a thicket of exposition. Sometimes he has been constrained by threadbare material.

The characterisations ring true, the sense of life as a merciless lottery is ever-present, and the performances carry enough weight to suggest that they'll go the six-part distance.
