The series chronicles the exploits of singles, five guys and five girls, in search of love all over the course of one night. Each episode follows two or three characters as they meet each other for the first time and from there determine the outcome in the finale, which is the end of the night.

There's the hope that these other characters catch when they're introduced, but that's asking viewers for a lot of patience, especially for a sitcom.

Mixology in fact tries to sell us its "barcabulary" as something hip and happening. Maybe it is. But the best lines are only funny once, and too soon it all feels forced.
