I think the different storylines separating the characters will provide a lot of material. I liked the characters and found them intriguing.

Ultimately, Ravenswood is a sufficiently spooky tale - and you don't have to be a Pretty Little Liars fan to enjoy the hair-raising series.

It's definitely less grounded in reality, and clearly intended as more of a horror story than a murder mystery like [Pretty Little Liars]. As a huge horror fan, I'm very much down with that.

The group of teenagers may have been left sinking, but based on the creeptastic premiere, I'm sensing Ravenswood will be swimming strongly right along with its sister series.

Where PLL is soapy and audacious, Ravenswood (in its pilot, at least) seems warmed over, like an American Horror Story: Juniors.
