Sally4Ever - Season 1
A comedy drama series about an exciting story following a young woman called Sally. This is the woman who is very controversial in her life with David, but the events may change when David asks her to marry. Sally may have had a crisis inside her the night he was asked to get married; starting an affair with Emma, an attractive actress and a successful poet, and things could change later.

The laughs -- and there are big ones -- come precisely because Emma, David and the rest are so terrible in such exaggerated fashion.

Davis has...fashioned another wholly sadistic half hour that leaves the viewer skewered and writhing in exquisite agony, the actual jokes and laughter highlighting the pain at the same time as they afford you just enough relief to carry on.

So far, Sally4Ever is a new creative bar for Davis, and a perfectly uncompromising introduction to her gleefully inappropriate comic auteurism for North American audiences.
October 30, 2018
Sally4Ever is one of the most joyous watches of the week.

Even the most hardened fan will have found this bleak comedy frustratingly familiar; the characters, situations and joke set-ups punctuated the first, unevenly paced episode like a game of Davis bingo.
November 08, 2018
There is comedy, and then there is dark comedy, and then there is Julia Davis's comedy.

Yet if Davis's range isn't extensive, it is brilliantly specific, and Sally4Ever oozes with outrageous invention.
October 31, 2018
Still, even the most dedicated of her fans might not be quite ready for Sally4Ever, which is brilliant, but more than usually disturbing.

I love everything about Sally4Ever, assuming it's possible to love something that at its most excruciating can only be watched through the gaps between your fingers.
