After acquiring little legacy, Dashwood's widow and her three unmarried daughters, Elinor, Marianne and Margaret decided to move from their big home in Sussex. The mother and her daughters headed to a more modest hut in Devonshire where she tries to find suitable couples for girls in this strange place. With the help of his archaeological neighbor Sir John Middleton, things quickly turn into an unusual turn.
