His mother, Sharlene Martin, is a former actress and serves as his manager, and his father, Harald Horst Ludwig, is a businessman and co-chairman of the board for Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. He has 3 siblings; Nicholas, Natalie and Sophia, as well as a golden retriever named Waverly. He has German, Belgian, English, and Scottish ancestry.Alexander is a sophomore at the University of Southern California, studying film, theater, and entrepreneurship.
