Yes, there is age-related humour, but it is used judiciously and credit must be given for the running gag about ergonomic sex toys... as well as this season's poignant storylines about a major health scare and forced retirement for some of the characters.

It's no surprise that sticking Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in a scene together leads to comedy magic. Throw Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen into the mix, and it's like the show has it too easy when it comes to landing laughs.

Fans will be elated and anyone else drawn back to the beach story should be pleasantly surprised. Season 3 knows the story it wants to tell and how it wants to tell it. Give in and enjoy.

A little rougher than its previous two seasons, Netflix's Grace and Frankie still brings the laughs thanks to a stellar cast and the increasing depth of the central relationship.

What I love most about this season is how Fonda and Tomlin's offscreen friendship has continued to bloom into onscreen chemistry.
