The unlikely crime-fighting duo face a series of personal dilemmas in the new season. Sidney is reminded by the new Archdeacon Gabriel Atubo that he must lead by example, but is that something he can do given his love for Amanda? Meanwhile, Geordie is tempted by his feisty secretary Margaret, despite having a wife at home. James Norton, who plays Sidney, teased: “Series three is a very personal series. It’s perhaps less about the period, what defined the 50s in comparison to now, and is much more about the inner turmoil and personal journey of Sidney and Geordie. “It’s about guilt and conflict. The conflict between love and duty. It is shocking and it is dark but in a slightly different more personal way.
