The second season continues through a series of dramatic events, in which Dave's older brother unexpectedly appears. It seems that there is a large group of money and is determined to persuade a financial upset, but things are not right and he does not realize that he is being pursued by a drug dealer who wants to fully recover his money during that period.

Shepherd won a Golden Globe... and no embarrassment of award riches would be enough to commemorate their pairing, which could well be the greatest example of onscreen romantic chemistry ever, or at least certainly on a par with Tracy and Hepburn.

It didn't take Nostradamus to predict that Willis had a future as a movie star, just as it's apparent that Shepherd's glory days were behind her.... Nevertheless, the show hits its stride in the second season.
