The end result offered some laughs, but was hardly funny enough to justify the menagerie, which basically describes the whole episode.

While I was hoping to get a little bit more from Will Ferrell returning to Saturday Night Live for his fifth time as host, this was still a fairly enjoyable episode.

Rather than look at this episode as a failure, perhaps it's better look at it as the prime example of how absolutely nothing about this show is predictable.

November 25, 2019
As an all-time great cast member, one of the best things about Will Ferrell as a host is that he's not afraid to share the comedic spotlight with others.
November 25, 2019
This is basically the kind of monologue only Ferrell can pull off. Tracy Morgan shows up and it goes off the rails, in the best kind of way.
