James Duff's ' The closer' is back in its fifth season starring Kyra Sedgwick, J.K. Simmons and Corey Reynolds. Brenda Jonhson who is in command of the Priority Homicide Divsion as a Deputy Police Chief is naturally talented to read people. This helps her and her team tackle the most difficult and complex crime cases in the city. In this season, a family with 4 members are murdered in their own home - innocent civilians. This is a tragedy because the murder came to the wrong address.

Now in its fifth season, The Closer is looking a tad tired and predictable.

I've long thought that there was room and potential for "The Closer" to go from good to great. I think season five could be when that happens.
